Justin Willis is a solid fighter who trains out of American Kickboxing Academy with the likes of Cain Velasquez and Daniel Cormier.  Willis has his background in football.  He played football at San Jose State.  He is a solid heavyweight who comes in at the heavyweight limit.  He is also fairly athletic for a heavyweight.  He has shown some solid wrestling like one might expect from a AKA product.  His takedowns come with some real power.  I also was impressed watching his boxing.  He is not afraid to mix things up with an opponent.  He has some real power in his hands.  The other thing that I noticed is that he appears to move really well for a guy his size.  Willis is a guy that really should be on the radar for the major promotions.  I like Willis’ overall game.  He hits hard, he has a solid top game.  My biggest concerns for him is, how will he do fighting off of his back?  Also, will he be able to handle the range of taller heavyweights?  I believe that he is in the right place to continue to grow, at AKA.  Currently, Willis is signed with World Series of Fighting, however, I would not be surprised if Willis ended up in Bellator before he did UFC.  Bellator seems to have a pipeline from AKA.  However, UFC could also make a run at Willis soon.
