Viktor is the brother of our number 7 light heavyweight prospect, Vadim. He trains alongside his brother at Team Fedor in Russia. He is the former M-1 light heavyweight champion. Viktor holds a career win over Stephen Puetz as well. He is not a power puncher, but seems to be more of a volume or combination striker. Also, he has pretty good movement and footwork. To his credit he has shown noticeable improvement in the striking department. He has learned to utilize a jab effectively and seems to be using his kicks more often. Nemkov’s bread and butter is his submission game. He is fairly aggressive in his hunt for the finish. I have seen video of him finishing fights with leg locks, armbars, triangles and guillotines. He does use his judo and sambo background quite effectively in his fights. He also has ferocious ground and pound at times. He has shown good submission defense when necessary. Viktor is scheduled to fight in M-1 on October 21st against Atilla Vegh. A win there certainly could pique interest from Bellator and UFC.
