Gamzatov is a great prospect to keep your eye on.  The Russian Top Team fighter, is currently fighting with World Series of Fighting, so he may be tied up there for the time being, but it is a great opportunity for him to establish himself as a top light heavyweight outside the UFC.  Gamzatov is a guy with power in his hands.  His stand up is decent, but not necessarily crisp.  He can be sucked into exchanges, but he really has power, especially in his right hand.  I do not think is a real liability anywhere.  He has solid ground game and has submission ability.  I believe that is where he is at his best.  He looks to have a real ability to control an opponent from the top position.  Gamzatov stands out as a finisher.One of the things he does well is that he stays active on the ground throwing strikes and transitioning.  I really like Gamzatov’s potential in the division, but I believe that he really needs to stay more active fighting.  I am not certain if there have been persistent injury issues that have kept him inactive or if it has been scheduling.  I do not think that he is far from the top group in WSOF.  It will be interesting to see how Gamzatov does against higher level opponents.
