Yandiev is an interesting character and an interesting prospect. I like Yandiev as our #16 prospect, but there are a lot adam_yandiev_fightof questions about his game. He has a judo and wrestling background. He is a judo world champion, but he really has showed power in his hands. The Ingush fighter sometimes he throws his punches so wild that he makes himself vulnerable to takedowns or the clinch. However, he does really appear to hit hard when he lands. There are also times where he is willing to put himself in a bad position. However, he has shown persistence. He has been able to reverse bad positions and get into better positions. He has decent takedowns. He also seems to have decent submissions, especially his chokes. Judging from how quickly opponents tap he appears to have a really strong grip when he locks up a choke. Yandiev also seems to have well above average athletic ability. He is an aggressive fighter as is shown by the fact that he has never been out of the first round of a fight. I am not sure how he would do against fighters of a higher calber, but he is certainly interesting to say the least. His walkouts are epic. I could see a scenario where UFC or Bellator had interest in signing him. I could also see him electing to stay and fight in M-1 in Russia where he has quite the following.
