Sergiu is a prospect that I really like.  He trains with UFC fighter Ion Cutelaba in Moldova.  I believe that he has a lotof positives going for him.  First of all is his age.  He is just 21-years old and has been fighting since he was 18 years old.  He also a good sized heavyweight.  He still would be considered a raw fighter in terms of his skills, but he has shown a constant progression.  In his most recent fight, he ended the fight with a beautiful head kick knockout.  There were moments in all of his fights where you could tell that Spivak has a ways to go before he reaches UFC caliber.  He at times got off balance and over extended in his strikes.  Spivak has also shown good submission ability.  He finished one of his fights with a nice armbar, that included a few good transitions.  He is not quite as aggressive as his training partner, Cutelaba, but I do believe that is a good indication of his trajectory.   The other thing is, it is difficult to determine where he really is based off the fact that he has not fought high level competition yet.  I believe that he needs to continue developing in the cage.  However, I believe that by this time next year, Spivak could be on the verge of signing with a bigger promotion.
