Wagner is an impressive heavyweight muay thai specialist.  In his fights he has shown a real diverse striking game.  He has powerful leg kicks.  He also will target the body with his kicks.  I believe that Wagner is most dangerous when he gets the muay Thai plum.  He is able to unleash knees from that position.  Pezinho also has a sense of when his opponent is hurt and will go for the finish.  I believe that Maia is the best of the Brazilian heavyweight crop.  He is still very young; just 22-years old.  I believe that we can expect him to continue to develop.  Wagner trains with the Baixinho Team in Brazil. Those around him rave about his skills and I have heard some people suggest that he could compete in the UFC already.  However, I have some questions about his overall game.  I would like to see him fight more experienced fighters in Brazil before attempting to move to international promotions.  I believe that his turn will be inevitable, but for now he needs time and experience in the cage.
