Meinifield is our least experienced fighter, but he is also the most dynamic on this list. Menfield is a former football alonzomenifieldplayer who has made the transition to mixed martial arts. He is pure power. Everything he he throws, he throws with bad intentions. His power is different level stuff. When watching Alonzo fight, he reminds me a little bit of Anthony Johnson. I have heard that he has a hard time getting people to fight him on the local scene. There is not a lot of video to scout Alonzo, but from what I can tell, he is a special athlete. I suspect that he has competent wrestling and at the very least his athletic ability will help him with wrestling defense. He has been training at Team Elevation alongside some very good training partners. Menifield could be the next big thing in the light heavyweight division. Honestly, I believe that there will be a race between UFC and Bellator to sign him to a longer term deal. There is not a more dynamic and explosive prospect in the light heavyweight division right now. Menifield recently signed a multi-fight deal with RFA, so I suspect they will bring him along at the proper speed and prepare him for an eventual move to the UFC or Bellator.
